Anyways, NSMBWii sold 10m for the same reason tetris, super mario bros, pac-man, and other similar games sell. It is simple to pick up and play, (run, jump is the core mechanic) and is fun, however it also allows for a much more "hardcore" style of play (speedruns and such). Nostalgia may have caused some people to pick it up, but since Wii is only owned by kids and grandparents I don't see how anyone could have nostalgia for a game they never played.


Grandparents have the most nostalgia, haven't you heard us say how good things were 'back in the day'.

how if you haven't played all games that are worthy of that title? And don't dare say "its my opinion" because if thats so, then to me the pile of shit I found on the street and played with was my game of the year for 2009.

Eww you play with poop on the street?    I know people enjoy different things but that is pretty strange.

NSMB is certainly my Wii game of 2009 and in fact it was my game of the year on both the 360 and Wii.

grandparents (at least mine) grew up when TV's were at best black/white, and they had to go uphill both ways in the snow with no boots. They didn't play videogames.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
