Do any of the games we get now matter in japan?...hmmm...let me see....nope..not really...More and more dev. is coming out of EU/NA..unless you see the next say Killzone and Gears made with the japan audince in mind.

Also in refernce to my comment...can't tote the 360 is just being ''smashed'' by ps3....when neck neck in eu and na is just 360land.

Japan just isnt that console based anymore..maybe next gen it will change but so far this gen no.

Congratulations, your attitude will be bookmarked as a perfect example of the reason why I think PSN sucks at times, mainly due to people like you being in the Sony fanbase.  If you have nothing remotely positive to say and no interest in the 360 at all then don't bother entering threads for it.

In this case yes, you've flamed and baited an entire group of gamers with your ignorance.  I didn't over gernalise in the way you did hence the term "some".  I have every right to judge you, it's my opinion.  If you're entitled to spout such utter drivel as your opinion then I and every other user on this site has the right to comment on what you've said.  If you don't like the truth then learn to keep your biased and frankly uncivil opinion to yourself if it bothers you to have your ridiculous statements ripped to pieces and proved FUD.

I'm not on the other side at all, I own all 3 consoles but have a preference, at least I've taken the time to get a valid opinion for myself rather than reading SDF FUD and taking it as gospel.  I happen to believe what I said by the way and the 360 overtaking the PS3 in sales is at least marginally on topic unlike most of your posts.

For stating that the 360 fanbase is notorious for having a high amount of angry 12 year old kids and FPS/WRPG fanboys? I'm not even talking about people who just own a 360, I'm talking about 360 fanboys like you see on the Xbox Republic forum, and again I've said this before...if you're not the type of person I'm talking about because I have described their personality traits in a previous post..if you're not that type of person..you have no reason to be offended.

The only think you're getting out of my posts is "ps3 good, 360 bad" when it's not quite like that, I'm not even talking about the consoles and their pros/cons, I'm talking about what I percieve the fans of the 360 to be from experience and seeing them around for years. You think I care or hate somebody for owning a 360? It's a video game console, I don't care about that, I care about 360 fanboys spitting out false information and generally being disrespectful to others, I care about that. It is my opinion that the PS3 is better than the 360, if you think otherwise that's fine I really don't care what you think, I don't care about the sales, I care about the games I enjoy and where I can play them. I care about reliability and I care about the community. Yes, I do think 360 FANBOYS are pretty awful people who choose to limit themselves to just a few genres originating only in the West. I do think the 360 FANBOYS love their first person shooters...I never said anything about somebody owning a 360, there's a difference between a 360 owner and a fanboy.

Which are you? The way you are getting bent out of shape over me saying anything that may be construed as slightly negative to the 360 leads me to believe you are a fanboy. Maybe you should thicken your skin and not take everything to heart. I admit I get pissed when people falsify crap against the PS3 but I know the difference between somebody pointing out fanboyism and somebody saying "YOU'RE AN IDIOT BECAUSE YOU OWN SUCH AND SUCH" and being a fanboy themselves, If somebody were to say the same thing that I said about the PS fanbase but on the opposite side of the spectrum, I would know that doesn't apply because I'm not that type of person.

meh, 360 doesn't need hope. It's doing fine. It has a good number of consumers. We will get a NeXtBox.

Americas.. 360 owns this market and PS3 will never ever come within arms reach

Japan... Lost cause. Before the PS3Slim, ps3 to 360 sales hovered at 2:1-3:1 but since then the 360 has been left eating dust. Ps3 Win... by a few million units

Europe/Others.. Ps3 has the current "edge" but thats exactly what it is. SONY has better brand value but MS have demonstrated that price cuts go a long way to win market share. I'd expect Arcade to be hopefully scrapped sometime this year with a 60GB basic model being introduced at a slightly lower price point.($149?)

Natal will be BIG. However,if you think your gonna be able to strafe and change guns on it on halo reach from day1 you might be disappointed- But its capable, and it sure as hell is exciting.

Honestly If natal is even half as good as the wii.. the wii is gonna get lil or no play from me anymore. I purchased the wii primarily for siblings/folks n friends(and obviously nintendo games) and its a fantastic console to play wii sports with a few beers. But everyone thinks its got the Fugliest graphics ever. If I can enjoy my future titles of casual bowling/party games at 660/720/1080 Id much rather do that.And if it works with RPG's and racers.. even better..

Nope, I don't think Natal will save Xbox 360. Natal is like an accessory, a makeup to beautify the Xbox 360 for those who already own it to get natal. Its not enough to win new Xbox 360 users to buy the system just for Natal.

Natal is probably the best hope they have left. currently they cannot drop the arcade price much, the console still costs probably more than 100$ to make so with shipping and everything else i guess 149$ might be possible to do.
only way they can go below that will be a new hardware revision with less chips (integrating cpu+gpu+ memory), this will only work in a smaller production process like 45nm or 40nm (else chip will be too big and too hot to be any use). there has been rumors ms is preparing for this, but since TSMC had big troubles with 40nm till now i doubt such a revision will launch before late this year. so might as well ship a new slim x360 together with natal.

Price cuts are another option, but as we all have seen they are also most effective when done closer to hoilday season.

so my guess for ms strategy this year would be that they won't do much till late summer, and then try a heavy marketing initiative for holiday season with price drops, slim version and natal. when using all 3 cards at once this will give them a quite good position for the holiday season, much better than if they split these things out over the year.
