Sure MGS 2 was a little disappointing, but it still was a great game. If you are somewhat patient (like me), you will like GOP as well. If you like the first one, I'm almost certain you will like Snake Eater. While the story and characters aren't as good as in 1 or 4, the boss fights are really something. If you haven't played it yet, try it out.
Human contact, the final frontier.
I'll say Halo, because I personally don't think much of it. I have played Halo 3 at a friend's house a few times, and the campaign is so boring. Online is good, but it isn't the best either. Let's be honest- it is not on the same level as Zelda, FF, MG(S), or the GTA franchise.

I would have said Mario, but since that's not an option I said Zelda. The only one I've played is Ocarina of Time and I didn't find it that fun.
dont really know anything about halo or zelda or final fantasy... the other two are good series in my opinion. the one that i think is most overrated of them all is COD series... stop appreciating them after the second game!
Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
I would definitely vote GTA IV for most overrated game. But since this is about game series, I voted for Halo.
Grand Theft Auto. The 4th iteration of the serie got a 98, which I found pretty overated. Grand Theft Auto always had been a little too much rated.

Then how can you say that an entire game series is overrated?
What about A Link To The Past? Link's Awakening? Minish Cap? Wind Waker? Twilight Princess?
Seriously, try to make a more objective judgment after you play at least half of the titles in a game series.

dead right it does.... i know to my cost when I dared question Japanese gaming. I voted MGS of course. (mario would have been my first choice) |
Well, i've been bashed up as well, when I said that JRPG's could be as good as WRPG's.
I think it all bares down to whom you talk to and in what theme you use that conversation.
Both japanese and western gaming have their own weaknesses and strenghts, they can and they will co-exist. I don't see the constant need to bash one another as some posters on this site usually do.

Out of those it's Zelda IMO.
Doesn't mean it's bad or mediocre though
