So we are listening to random game journalists that are in no way, shape, or form related to the game, now?

If you're playing ME1 on the PC then why would you bother waiting for a possible PS3 port? If you get ME2 on the PC, you can import your current character and continue playing from there with all of the decisions, etc. that you made in ME1 still there when you play ME2. Even if a PS3 version comes out then you won't be able to continue your character. I have the 360 version of ME1 and I bought the 360 version of ME2, so I could continue with my same character (once I start playing the game) otherwise I probably would've bought the PC version. |
I'd rather play it on my PS3 than on the PC. Besides I bought it for only 9€, so if I get it for the PC I'll also wait until I get it for a similar low price. I'm not much of a PC gamer these days, unlike a few years ago and my backlog of console games needs my attention the most.
My Shepard is the absolute standard one. Name, looks, backstory. So it doesn't matter much if I import it, since I starting at lvl 1 or 5 doesn't make much of a difference. Standard Shepard is hawt!

At this point we can only speculate but i think he knows more than us. Maybe he just wants some attention but i think we should wait and see, anything can happen.
I think EA want to release it as much as Bioware but it is MS who is holding them back due to possibly having part funded the development of the 1st game. It would be unfair on MS if they are one of the founders of the game (through funding) and then the game which made them ends up going to a rival console.
e.g. You spend thousands ona girl (buy her new clothes, perfume, plastic surgery etc) and then she goes and sleeps around :s
EA and Bioware obviously want to increase their userbase which is why they want to have it go to the PS3. MS want to keep it since they do not wish to lose an exclusive.
I think EA will probably to something similar to TECMO and release and ME1+ME2 or both ME's on their own but with added content etc and rename it ME Genesis or something. If they add enough extra content onto the game and change its name, maybe then they can justify releasing it onto another console without breaking any laws.
With an opening bow of nearly 1 million...EA will ahve to cough up alot of money to M$ to get this game on multi-console. Theyshould have just let M$ keep their publishing deal and launch it on the PS3...but they wanted to be greedy...don't blame M$ for this.
“I think the game will eventually come out for PlayStation 3 but they just can’t talk about it yet.”
There we go, just an opinion. He doesn't have any "insider secrets".

If they're going to bring it, I hope they bring a port of the first one first because I didn't play it.
One is thing I have learned is that if its up for discussion as an article then most likely its going to happen....prime example the Liberty City for the PS3 & PC...now its happening...so with ME2 its not if its more of when its coming to hte PS3

Ummm........what? Liberty City wasn't discussed in articles but forums like these until that recent post taking pre-orders was shown. |
IIRC it was being debated when some game journalist posted a Twitter message about a demo of Lost and the Damned on PS3 at that German Game Convention last year.
Really, really doubt this is happening.
And if hell freezes over and it happens, it won't matter, everyone who wants it will have played it. It just means it will have less traction with PS3 owners, in my mind I will always see Mass Effect as a PC360 franchise.
I don't understand the surprise about the GTA4 DLC, it's always been known it would eventually come out on PS3/PC, just like the Fallout 3 DLC. Nobody ever made it much of a secret. But, like expected, it would come much, much later for non-360 platforms.
