DLC, some gamers love it and some hate it. I'd like to know what the concensus is on VGChartz. DLC is here to stay and if we want all the content when it's released, we are paying $80 for every major game. Do you resist or fall for it/don't care? Pick the one that suits you most. Give an explanation why you've chosen this and if you make any exceptions.

Ever since this generation I've become very skeptical when a game has been released. Will there be more DLC? Although devs seem to announce DLC before it's initial release these days. I like that because I'll check if it's single or multiplayer. I don't care about multiplayer so much, I do care about single player. My answer would be 1 or 4 in most cases and I don't make exceptions.

Well, I do preorder games, but very rarely do I deal with DLC. If I'm paying $50-60 for a game, I want a game, not to be nickel and dimed for the game. However, for a $15 game, I'm more willing to try some DLC, case in point: My Life as a King. With all the content we cared about, it was about $40, and we've gotten more playtime from it than quite a few retail $50-60 games. So I guess the most important thing is do I like the game?

I think most games shouldn't cost more than $30 dollars new.
There are some exceptions, however. But I only like to buy discounted used games
maybe one or two new games once in a blue moon

I'm all over the place...for about a year now I've been pre ordering my games....plus I look for discounts too..I love a good deal/bargain...hardly ever will catch me buying a new game without pre ordering it...DLC only a few times...

I love DLC gives me a good reason sometimes to start the game over again:P. But this gen I have spoiled myself with games costing no more then 30 euros

I like games without DLC on release day. That is completely ridiculous, it is why I don't buy most of the "good" games this Gen. I will not support those developers.

DLC is becoming more and more interesting...prime example...Fallout 3...add more layers to the game...

I buy only games that will entertain me for years without me getting tired of them.

Depends on the game.

Final Fantasy = first day regardless

DLC heavy games = ONLY GOTY Editions.

Depends on how much i like the game.
