Not to play games at all of course. She was trying to decide between this and an IPod Touch, only for the purposes of downloading/watching movies/music and talking on Skype. Here where we are, the PSP Go is pretty much the same price as the IPod Touch and she's decided to buy the Go because it doesn't restrict any websites (? - according to the guy selling it in the store), and has expandable memory. And she doesn't want to buy the old PSP because it looks ugly.

Anyway I wanna confirm some things. If her real purposes for buying the Go are just those things, is it really a good idea?

I can watch Youtube on my iTouch, but not on a PSP Go. That's all I really know.

The iPod restricts websites? What does that mean? Occasionally it will go to a "mobile" version of the site, but you can go to the original. I would highly suggest a iPod over a PSPGo for a multipurpose device simply due to input issues.

Ipod touch interface is much better than psp's. It's better for typing, browsing websites...
And Itouch looks much cooler than the psp, and it's probably much lighter too.
The only thing the psp surpasses Ipod is gaming. And since she won't use this at all...

So, not a good choice, imho.

I would also say the only thing the PSP Go beats the iTouch at is Gaming, which she apparently won't be doing. The iTouch interface is way easier and better than the PSP Go's. It is also better for typing and web browsing. Plus it has a ton of free apps that are awesome. I don't even have to mention music.....

Well the PSP Go is for playing games not surfing websites....
Tell her not to buy one just because it doesn't restricts websites.
I'm using my PSP Go to watch movies or listen to music on the go mostly.....
I prefer to play games on my PSP Slim since i have a bunch of UMDs.

lmao.. the PSP has a horrible browser, I can tell you from experience.. if she wants it for gaming uses ALONG WITH the other features then go ahead, but if its just INTERNET and music..

then I would go with the itouch..

I dont understand what people are saying here. Prolly never tried a PSPgo. Its way better for skype as any bluetooth headset will work. Bluetooth keyboard also, like the mini keyboard from sony. Also it plays more codec than Ipod, and its plug and play on any computer anywhere. It also looks better according to any person I show the PSPgo to. Image quality and screen size is also better which makes it perfect for watching movies. I would only purchase the Ipod over the PSPgo for music only.

Edit: its true that the web browser is not awesome tho.
