It's an ok result (2% growth, probably the smallest growth compared to other regions). The UK is an interesting case of the PS3 Slim effect without a price cut.

Exacly what I thought, they were refering to Wikipedia, which states PS3 shipped 27 million as of September 30th 2009, same with Wii.

No those are shipments numbers which are old, Wii and PS3 shipments numbers were posted september 2009, and that 39 million 360's were shipments to retailers not sold to consumers.

I posted this as it states the UK sales of 3 million which is very good news! the rest of the article seems inaccurate though.

Sony and Nintendo haven't updated shipment figures for their systems through December 2009 yet, while Steve Ballmer of Microsoft did at CES 2010.

Through September 2009 shipped figures were:

Wii - 56.14m worldwide

X360 - 33.5m worldwide

PS3 - 27.02m worldwide

Through December 2009 shipped figures are:

Wii - ? (my guess is about 67m)

X360 - "over 39m worldwide"

PS3 - ? (my guess is about 34m)
