I grew up playing Silver (this is before Lugia became popular, when Gold was the popular version), so I'll be buying Silver. Interesting because I always buy the less popular version (Blue, Silver, Sapphire, Pearl), but now thanks to Lugia's popularity it's looking like their positions are being reversed.

I am getting silver, I got gold version when it was on the GBC, so might as well get silver this time

I'm not really sure. I mena if their both basically the same does it matter? you can get both Lugia and Ho-Oh. I think that it just depends on prefernce this time. If I remember correctly when the originally came out you couldn't catch both Lugia and Ho-Oh only the legendary according to your version. Now that they have basically broken down that barrier I dont think it makes a difference. Now it comes down to the real life trouneys and special event pokémon.

Soul silver. I've always liked Lugia more than Ho-Oh.

I bought Silver back in the day, and I'm sure as heck gonna buy Soul Silver when it comes out.
