Truth be told, I dunno if the game would've gained that much from going multi.  It seems like a hard sell, though the more tps-style gameplay might've made some headway with the shooter loving 360 base.  Though then again, Sega might not have been able to get that Sony funded anime then.

A Wii port would've been a bit more work, I think a better move would've been to make Valkyria 2 PSP/Wii multiplatform (PSP for JP sales, Wii for western sales).

Also, Sega did horribly on Xbox 1.  JSRF, GunValkyrie and Orta did so badly that Smilebit got shout down over it.  Sega banked last gen mainly on GameCube (with Sonic & Monkey Ball) and PS2 (with Virtua Fighter and Yakuza).

No, the Jan 2009 leak had VC at 74k.   The 130k is from November (not last NPD, sorry).

Er... Ani's the source of like half the NPD leaks on the internet.  People at GAF literally ask him for the numbers...

He's also the original source for the DSE leak, the Spirit Tracks leak, RE DSC leak, FFCC leak...

But I'll always go with whoever has greater coverage, it just makes sense.  VGC tends to overtrack generally with the smaller stuff, but their VC numbers are way above and beyond the usual discrepancies.  We'll know for sure whenever we get any shipment numbers out of Sega, which probably won;t happen until the series hits the million milestone...

Nope, Ani leaked ALL those.  He's basically taken over for CS since this last summer... he and several other longtime GAFers share the leak.
