The online isn't working.

I drive up to the "Online" station. Nothing happens.

I press Start => Connect to Online. I get a note about server maintenance which is from 5am-7am PST. It's not 5-7am PST right now. It's 12:09pm PST.

I press Start => Race Station => Connect to Online. Nothing noticeable happens.

Help?

The U.S. BETA went offline on the 18th.

Anyway, does anyone know if you can download US tracks, and characters? I'm not going to get the euro version.. partly because i have no euro account, and, I don't want to be selfish and probably lag way too much online... I'll wait until the release of the game.

Hmmm, let's see.

1) The online doesn't work
2) The loading takes forever
3) The cartoon characters are hideous
4) The 10-second repeating clip gets really irritating
5) Time Trial REALLY sucks in this sort of game.

The customisation is good, but...that's about it, really. From what I've seen of the game so far, or an incomplete and buggy version of the game, anyway, it's actually quite bad.

How do I MAKE THE ONLINE WORK?

I KEEP CLICKING CONNECT...and the world symbol just goes red again (is it meant to be red? That's a pretty dumb colour for "successful connection"). And clearly my PS3 is connected to PSN, because I can access the chat room, and clearly it's connected to the Modnation servers because I can download levels.

So what do I have to do, jump over the ramp while pressing select and shaking the controller?
