Oh I'm sorry. I thought the fact that WoW had 12 million active players meant it sold at least that much. Since that was only an active figure, it probably sold several million more than that. I wasn't insulting your thread, jsut your list.

Well, those might not all actually count. Those are, unless I'm mistaken, the amount of players that have either created a trial, or paid for WoW within the last 6 months. For all you know, quite a lot of those could come from trials.

Secondly, can you not buy WoW digitally? We lack digital numbers, and thus all of those have to be ignored. So any numbers that would have come from downloading WoW (rather than buying it retail) will have to be discounted.

"World of Warcraft subscribers include individuals who have paid a subscription fee or have an active prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the game and are within their free month of access."

That discounts my first argument.

Also I am not too aware that you can buy WoW or its expansion online, if they did it must have been a very recent development. I do know that once you bought them, you can download them all you want form online though.

Well it IS possible.

Nintendo needs to have 12 games that sell more than 18.16 million before anybody else gets one. So far they've done it 13 times and nobody else has ever done it.

I think they'll have the top 15 games in under a year or 2, but at some point... SOMEBODY should make a game that sells that much. It just seems unlikely that nobody else could ever do it ever, but I guess nobody else wants to make evergreen titles or something. I have no idea.

Everyone in this thread is missing the point. Note in the thread title, that neither DS, nor Wii are specified. Nintendo will easily get 5 more 18.16 million sellers this gen, PS360,psp and ps2 obviously none, Pc probably none because VGChartz doesnt track them

That only leaves 7 for the DS2 and Wii2 to get

It's possible. But not likely anytime soon.

It's not like Nintendo is in a Vacuum, so all their next games need to sell GTA:SA while still selling more than other big games.
