This is the only correct answer....
Gaming make me feel GOOD!
I know choosing wii will piss many people off
Ps3 has a wide variety: LBP & RC and U2 and Killzone, X360 has M- games, Pc isn't that good for gaming, Wii has mostly only Zelda: TP, SMG, Mp triology, Mario Kart Wii, NSMBwii and Smash Bros Brawl, they all rock
PC has the most complex games, graphics power can be decided at player's taste, storage expandability has no other limit than the current tech and it has the widest choice for input devices, making it hardly beatable in some genres like racers and flight sims, and obviously in all the games best played with mouse and keyboard, although PS3 is clever enough to offer standard HDD and standard USB ports, allowing a wider and less expensive, for a given level of quality and features, choice of input peripherals than most other consoles, at least in theory, I don't know how much in reality, although I know that a lot of PC wheels are PS3 compatible too and I saw also some Wii compatible ones.
Anyway, PC, with exceptions for some genres, like JRPG's and platformers and all the new genres invented for Wii.
As PC is an option (even though it's not a console) then there really is no contest. Anyone that doesn't select PC really hasn't got a clue (no offense guys :P). PC games have always had more options (controls, graphics, physics, hardware), genres (including some niche genres you just wouldn't get on consoles), better graphics etc. Many console games out today are refined and scaled down versions of previous PC titles.
PC gamers also have to be more devoted to gaming; they have control over their hardware, they have to tinker with settings, they have to figure stuff out when it goes wrong, they're the ones that optimise the hardware. Console gaming in general is designed to be an easier and refined experience.
It also has the largest back catalogue of games and can emulate most consoles from previous gens, so if you truly want to play games, PC offers the largest and most diverse array of titles. What's more, is that future devs are being made on PC al the time with indie games really becomming successful on PC now with digital distribution such as Steam.
As someone mentioned above though, if you're truly hardcore... you have them all :P
Let's see. I believe I'm "hardcore" and I prefer the Wii, which means that for atleast one hardcore gamer the Wii is the way to go.

It depends where your hardcore about, someone can be a hardcore fan of the Mario and Zelda franchises for over 10 years so it would be obvious which console is the best for his/her hardcore needs. But overall the 360 and the PS3 share that large archive of games that are best for hardcore gamers. 360 is a bit more succesful by the mainstream gamer aswell and since the PS3 is a playstation most hardcore gamers will get that since they have been getting a PS for a long time. But overall both consoles are equals when it comes to being hardcore.

/thread, although it appears you have no PS3 |
You are correct sir. I'm a little poor right now, (student w/car payments, house) so I haven't reached hardcore status. But I'm working on it!!
