You're comparing a Friday for FFXIII-2 versus a Saturday for Type-0....

I find it a bit strange that the 2 PSV games showing up have not moved at all for quite some time. (still 2 weeks to go, I know, they could start moving up again any day now)

Maybe people are dividing their attention among all PSV launch games available. Then again maybe people pre-order less games for systems that are still not available (?)

Can anyone check if any 3DS games appeared in the COMG charts before the launch of the 3DS at all, and if any did, whether they moved up in the charts daily from the moment they appeared, just prior to launch, or not at all?

wow 30pts for MH, I really can't wait to see it pushing 3DS out skyward.

Thanks. Well, I looked these titles up a bit in this thread.

Unless I am mistaken 3DS Japan launch was on  February 26th.

Layton was in the charts well before February - On january 31st for example it was already 105p (and advanced 10 points that day). So despite the 3DS not being there yet, a game for a system a month in the future can still advance by respectable numbers.On February 12th is was 149p.

SFIV made its first appearance January 1st with 33 pts. There is no record for each and every day after that in VGC, but February 12th (14 days before 3DS launch) for example it was 48p. It seemingly did get a point here and a point there almost every day between its first appearance in the charts and 14 days before 3DS launch.

Samurai Warriors made its first appearance February 4th with 31 pts. There is no record for each and every day after that in VGC,but February 12th for example it was 46p. Again It seemingly did get a point here and a point there almost every day between its first appearance in the charts and 14 days before 3DS launch.

On the other hand, Uncharted first appeared on COMG on November 10th, with 38 points (its current number), and hasn't budged since (except a point up a couple of days later and then that same point back down). And the golf game reached  52 points (its current number) already on November 21st.

So in answer to this question of mine:

Yes some 3DS games appared in the COMG charts before the launch of the 3DS, and contrary to the 2 PSV games (at least lately) they did continue to get some points on a daily basis after they appeared in the charts and up to 2 weeks before launch.

So this lack of movement we are seeing here is something not necessarily typical for launch titles. Are pre-orders for the PSV in Japan still being taken? If not that could explain the lack of movement.
