How many days before releasing did Kirby finally appear? Anyone remember?

@Beuli: hmm that is very close, it's a bit weired it hasn't showed up yet then. Maybe like some say COMG not a good indicator for Wii sw and DKCR should be fine

I don't care about Kirby, because if it sells as much as Kirby, I'll consider it a flop.

It is very conducive to group playing, it has become a bit of a phenomenon in Japan, kind of like Pokemon, but not quite as big yet.  The 5,000 doesn't really mean anything, it's just that no game has ever gotten this high on COMG, and if Capcom shipped enough copies (which it probably didn't), it might have a small chance of beating Pokemon's launch.  And if you beat Pokemon in Japan at ANYTHING, that's insane.

Honestly, I never thought it would do Mario numbers, but a lot of people seem to have been convinced of that.  You can't make that assumption just because DK has been big in the past.  It's been a while.  I think it's safe to say it will do better than Kirby but will fall quite a bit short of Mario numbers, which I thought reasonable all along.

I didn't though it would do Mario numbers. But I expected at least 250K FW.

But Monster Hunter is hitting Pokemon, Dragon Quest and Mario numbers, i can see why those are so successful. But what is it about Monster Hunter thats becoming so big over there, it didnt get spectacular reviews or anything. It doesnt appear to be something new.

And the previous ones were only mildy successful.
