Not really, it's more of a parody on the dating sim genre, full of typical lovecom tropes and moe characters. It's a novel series and it also has an anime airing this season. The art is actually by the same person who does the Neptune series, Tsunako. The game is also by Compile Heart.

The 3DS has Shin Megami Tensei 4 and a Tamogatchi game next month, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and some major Digimon game in June, and Ace Attorney 5 and Mario & Luigi 4 in July. For late spring/early summer, that's not bad.

I expect great things out of Summon Night 5.

Sure it's a PSP game, and I'm a bit disappointed they didn't make a Vita version as well (the new graphics already look nice but they could be better!), but I'm just happy the series has been revived after FlightPlan closed down.

I'm interested to see how Ace Attorney will do. Layton lost part of the 2D sprite charm during the 3DS transition.
Wondering Ace Attorney can manage to surpass that "wall".
