M$ needs to implement a really aggressive strategy to get as many 360 out of the production lines before NATAL hits, since this will only increase the launch of it.

The European market is slipping away from the 360. Price reductions are needed to try and reduce the lost ground on its competitors. Demand for 360 has fallen away since the PS3 Slim launched in Europe back in September last year.

40 million+ XBox 360 user base is the aim before Natal launches later on this year. More XBox 360s sold = more Natal purchases and more XBox Live subscription and more XBox 360 game sales.

no one care about getting +-1M potential user on Natal before the release date man !

The 360, current, base is already sufficient IMO

what is needed is :

- seduce the 360 owners to make them buy Natal

- seduce everybody (Wii userbase) to make them buy a 360 for Natal

I'm guessing this is more tied to the rumor that MS is trying to get rid of the 120GB elite SKU and they are trying to slowly get rid of them before they replace it with the 250GB elite SKU.

Yeah, that what I was thinking about to... tough it is also obvious that MS is feeling the loss of Europe, and that they know that they need to keep up if they dont want to loose to much ground. if they do Europe for the 360 could become what the US is for the PS3, and I doubt that they want this, or that they will ever alow this. A future, permanent pricecut in Europe in the near future is not out of discussion IMO...

Or an X360 elite for 199 euros...

I think we'll be seeing something soon.. 120GB hard drives are nowhere to be found, Elites are dropping in price.. Maybe the 250GB HD will replace the 120GB at the same price, and 250GB Elite will replace the current Elite at the same price also...
