PS3 if I am not mistaken is the only console to not get a Walmart giftcard deal in December.

So MM isn't right when he says it was a "Pure 360 vs. PS3 battle in December". 360 had a big advantage with (2) $50 giftcard promotions that occured the week before and week after the biggest week of the year.

I guess you could make a case though that it took away from Christmas week sales.

Those gift card deals shouldn't actually move numbers that much for Christmas. Just move where the sales went too.

If someones kid wants a 360. The parent already knows if he's going to buy it or not in December. It's just a matter of where.
