Final Fantasy VIII tops PSN sales for December

December was a good month for PlayStation Network. According to a statement from SCEA's Patrick Seybold, December 2009 marked PSN's single highest revenue month so far, increasing 155% from a year ago. Most likely enamored with gifted systems and PSN cards, people were spending quite a bit of time on the PlayStation Store on Christmas Day -- it was the busiest day on the virtual marketplace that month. So what were people buying? Lots and lots of PSone classics:

1. FINAL FANTASY VIII (PS3/PSP)
2. PixelJunk Shooter
3. FINAL FANTASY VII (PS3/PSP)
4. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS3/PSP)
5. Resident Evil 2 (PS3/PSP)
6. Frogger Returns
7. Call of Duty Classic
8. Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
9. MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2
10. Battlefield 1943

WELL done FF8 & PSN for having its highest month ever

but a BIGGER well done not to FF8 or FF7, but to FINAL FANTASY in general, I mean FF8 & FF7 are just dominating in terms of PS1 classics, good for them!

As usual the latest pixeljunk game is a BIG HIT too!

for last weeks top sales:

1.Little big planet Pirates DLC levels
2.Final fantasy VIII
3.Little big planet Pirates DLC costumes
4.Final fantasy VII
5.Assassins creed II LBP costume

Final Fantasy VII never goes down below 5th or 10th place.

Did it sell 500k on the PSN already? :P

Oh and is Frogger Returns recommendable?

can I just say that the LBP PIRATE LEVELS (there's a amazing one out, go to busiest levels it should be there)

AREE AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

I mean seriously, the music in them & the water has added a new dimension to LBP & gives a fresh experience more than a year after its release, how many games can boast of such a feat!

FF8 will be ours again in a few weeks!!

LBP and Final Fantasy tearing up the charts, not surprising I did buy everyone of the Top 5 from last week.

I am disturbed.
