New Super Mario Bros. Wii has now sold 10 026 854 copies according to VGChartz, breaking the 10 million barrier. It did it in only 8 weeks, possibly 7 with aligned launches, and is therefore the fastest game ever to reach 10 million copies sold. It beat the previous record of 9 weeks set by Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

NSMBWii is the ultimate game for retro/platform fans out there, I beleive it will top 25 Million before 2010 starts, intendo should bundle this game with red/black wii in USA.

I'm thinking it has a realistic chance of doing 10 million this year. That would be an average of just below 200k weekly. And if it does, it has a very good chance at breaking 30 million lifetime. Which is practically unheard of.

But it's already 2010, so your belief is... probably misspelled.
