Forums - General Discussion - Why geek GIRLS are awesome

One thing I can tell you is I don't think I've met a comic reading girl without seeing this part:
"...make up for with kindness. Geek girls are incredibly understanding. As I covered in my previous articles, geeks are interested instead of interesting. They are more interested in your well being than their own. It’s this basic trait which explains most geek behaviour (and one I will talk about in a future entry)."

Probably because, like many comic fans, we idealise heroes (this does not include Wovlerine) and aspire to be like them. Any girl who shows signs of actually being interested in comics or mainly Marvel comics or the X-men is instantly more attractive to me but that's just me.

I think it has more to do with most people who are an outlier of society tend to be more accepting than their mainstream counterparts. There are always exceptions but people who have different likes than the common person are generally more forgiving of others who also sit outside the norm.

I approve of this article. I'm pretty sure my fiance would agree as well. Me and him are more than just lovers we're also like best friends. We have the same interests since we're both geeks. We geek girls are the best. :3

damn right we are ^___^

you know what else is awesome? meeting another GIRL who's a geek. most of my real-life friends (almost all) are guys, because i have NOTHING in common with the girls.

@ everyone else, you know that in order to find out if a girl's a geek or not you might have to actually talk to her?

you should really be with some geek guy and not with some sporty jock......

hahahahahahahaha!

my boyfriend is the most unsporty person ever. he's spent the last week procrastinating from our exams by playing pokemon gold by lamplight on his GBA at my flat, and will probably be late to mine later cos he got caught up playing Uncharted 2 or MW2

oh wait, was that "jock" thing a pun, on account of us being scottish? heh.

he's a geek. he just isn't quite as geeky as me.

good i'm glad to hear it,

and no for once it wasn't a scottish reference its just the americans call sporty types jocks from my movie watching anyway

Oh yes, the nerdy girls are the best I can attest

I never met a Geeky girl that i found attractive, but that's probably because i dont think i know many girls that are into geeky stuff. However the OP sounds interesting

I agree.

"Cool girls" just aren't that cool.
