Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bayonetta vs Dante vs Kratos

I see a lot of hate for Bayonetta yet no one ever tries to fault the gameplay. Funny that O_o

I used to really defend the game especially, but the fact that people who have PS3 and 360 went and bought the 360 version suddenly telling how amazing a game it is, how wonder how that comes across?
The game looks silly and without a story, it appears that gameplay is simply the best in a while, but I only own a PS3, why buy this when I can get the whole package, done well , in MARCH. I am passing on it, Bayonetta will never touch my PS3.

I'm sorry but what action game has a good story? God of War's is absolutely ridiculous. I love the universe, don't get me wrong. They are great characterizations of the famous Greek mythological figures, but....

Kratos is the biggest fucking moron on the face of the earth. He kills his own family, despite being warned, and blames Ares for it. He kills the God of War because he was rampaging like crazy, and then he himself starts rampaging after he gets the abilities. He's a dick, a moron, and seriously just an awful person. Luckily that fits right in with Greek mythology. But a good story? Don't make me laugh.

Bayonetta absolutely has a story, and while it's not incredible it has its moments and serves the purpose of allowing for the most epic scenes events ever in an action game, and bosses and setpieces to a scale that will make Kratos piss himself.

I recently picked up the God of War collection after not liking the series previously to give it another chance. I loved it. It's so much better than I remembered, and quickly became my favorite action series. Sad that it held that title for less than a month. It's simply not as good a game in any manner, whether we are talking about presentation, gameplay, or value. Bayonetta plays better, has much more style, a much grander scale, is signifficantly longer, and offers easily double the replayability of the first and second God of War games combined.

That said, yes, it has a lot of issues on PS3. But if we are talking about the games overall, when played at their best, the difference is very similar to what it was like to play Modern Warfare 2 after Uncharted 2.

Wow really? Kratos would win quite swiftly.

Boyenetta is the greatest game ever then, because it's better than both GOW's put together, some of the best game on the PS2. It's too bad the PS3 version isnt up to par, hence the reason I'd rather wait for a game I know for sure will look great, play great and desnt feel inferior to any other games.

If I had a 360, I'd get it, but as a PS3 owner, that game just doesnt atrract me.

Bayonetta.

Yes, i am a traitor to all Sony fans. But this game is... Awesome.

Plus, her hair turns into a Dragon. Which eats everything with like 1000 Gigatons of force. And she can slow down time. And turn into a cat thing, or a crow, or a bat.

And she uses 4 guns. And a big sword. And numerous other things.

She wins.

Yes Bayonetta is in my top ten best action game charaters of all time maby they should make a game with Dante and Bayonetta with Onlne CO-OP play that would be awesome.

Easily Bayonetta, according to the moves they can pull off in their actual games.....I mean, she can pretty much pause time.

Of course, this really is just a popularity contest, and not a true discussion on the actual powers each character possesses, because no one is taking it seriously. :P

Kratos killed one God with a massive sword, killed another by impaling with ANOTHER sword, and killed a third by ripping his head off.

And you think he can be beaten by some slutty librarian with big...shoes.

Bayonetta klled this.

With a few bullets/swipes... And her hair.

Bear in mind the big thing is a big stone head with wings and 2 huge dragon heads that breath fire, and you will see how Bayonetta wins.

And btw, that is an easy boss in the game.

Fortitudo was a cool boss (also the first REAL boss). And just for scale, that thing is significantly larger than a large house. And that sucker got MESSED UP. It wasn't even funny what she did to this guy. And later on in the game, that's not even a boss. That's a regular enemy. And He is SMALL compared to the other bosses and even regular enemies. And unlike Kratos, no grunting is or struggling is involved. She never breaks a sweat killing these things. From a story perspective, she is in complete and total control of the situation at all times, these things aren't even a threat too her. She finds killing them to be fun. While Kratos struggles and takes several seconds of pulling to rip off a human head (like in that famous GoW3 clip), she is ripping the heads off of things like this with ease.

The concept behind Bayonetta is kinda mess up..from what I saw, she is invincible. No weak points or whatsoever. She's wayyy too perfect..(to be expected from capcom)...

Thats kinda...cheating? Ill make a character so strong that he is the creator of the Big Bang...

Bayonetta is not from CAPCOM it is by Platinum Games a Studio made from the former Clover Studios and published by SEGA.

It seems Bayonetta has really step up her games, let see how GOW3 stand to it. Kratos finally got competitition. I can't wait to put my hands on that game.
