Why do you love gaming?

Do you like it for the achievements, kicking ass, or just for the hell of it?

Why do you like, or love it?

I love kicking ass.

I like (love) it for the escapism and immersion.

i like it because i enjoy playing video games socially. I enjoy playing xbox live and halo 3 with lots of friends.

Long Live SHIO!

Solely for the gamer points.

If anyone says they love gaming for the Achievements, I will come over to their house and punch a pepperoni through their heads.

I love games because they provide a distraction from the stress of the world. Escapism, plain and simple.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

cuz it's fun :D

I love gaming because you don't need other people on hand to play. There's also such a variety between all the genres. I don't need a friend with me if I want to play Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but I would if I wanted to play a sport (or even the cinema, it's weird to go by oneself). I also love it because it can be an individual or group event (online, SP campaign, co-op etc).
