MGS4 is the best game of all time, so yeah, it's better :P

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Tease.

Super Mario Bros. - Much better. With my favorite game this generation being Super Mario Galaxy and with the 2D greatness of New Super Mario Bros. (both Wii and DS)... it's a great time to be a Mario fan.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Slightly worse. It seems that Sonic has started to rely on way too many gimmicks this generation, but at least Shadow has taken a back seat. The Rush series (DS) is great though, but even that can't keep up with the wonderful Advance series.

Smash Bros. - Better. First of all, Sonic's in the game for Pete's sake. Not to mention Toon Link... great times!

The Legend of Zelda - Slightly better. It's tough to keep up with the stellar Wind Waker, but Twilight Princess is another fantastic entry in the series. Also, the DS games (Hourglass and Tracks) might not be my pinnacle Zelda games, but they're the first portable Zelda games that I've started and finished. I'm a better gamer for it.

Castlevania - Better. Dawn of Sorrow was a wonderful way to start out the generation, and even though Portrait of Ruin couldn't keep up the pace of previous titles, Order of Ecclesia proved to be a truly wonderful game. I'd say that these three DS games slighty edge out the three GBA games.

God of War= who knows
Splinter Cell = waiting for conviction
Fable = Worse
Twisted Metal = WHERE'S TWISTED METAL!!!
And my new favorite franchise = Dragon Age(awesome)

But war... war never changes

GTA - Worse

NHL - Better

GT - Hasn't been one yet, but looking like it will be much improved (graphics + damage + online)

CoD - Way better

SOCOM - Waaaaaayyyyyyy worse (fuck you Slant Six)

KoToR - Nothing yet, but I'll say worse because they're making it a friggin' MMO.

Mario - Than last gen? Better due to NSMBWii, Galaxy was meh tho. . .

Final Fantasy - This is tough, I loved X, but with the remake of IV on the DS. Draw!

Resident Evil - Better. The first one I played was 4, so 5 was more of the same and better for me.

Metal Gear Solid - Worse. 2 is better than 4, with of course the original being the best.

Zelda - Same game both gens, worse than SNES.

Tales - Better but I'll still prefer ToS since it was my first love.

FF - Better, at least when we're talking about Versus.

KH - Even I guess?

Zelda - So far last gen is better.

Mario - Last gen is better only because of TTYD.

Dragon Quest - Pending. DQ VIII was great though. I hope DQ X is better.

I didn't know FF was one of your favorite franchises

GTA - Worse, but still fantastic.
Mario - much better
RE - better. Never had more fun in a co-op session.
Burnout - much worse. Mediocre game IMO
Halo - bit better
Elder Scrolls - better
Fallout - much better

Metal Gear Solid - Worse - MGS4 was awful. The gameplay was good (would've been better without the Drebin points), but Kojima ruined the story. Nanomachines being the answer to everything was a complete joke. Also Otacon crying over a one night stand and Akiba & Meryl taking out the wave of Frogs were just classic Hollywood cheesiness. Portable Ops was okay; I did enjoy the comic-style cutscenes.

Final Fantasy - Worse - Dissidia was crap, and Crisis Core is one of the worst games I've played this gen. The dialogue is freaking laughable; it's gothic-poetry badness. As for the gameplay, all you have to do is press X. Hell, Zack will even run up to the enemy by himself. The encounter rates were predictable and annoying. It's annoying when you take a few steps to the side to get to the treasure, but when you go back to where you were, you get sunk into a battle. The DMW was a dumb feature. This thing enters the modulation phase every five seconds during a boss battle. You have no control over it, and it felt like the game was the one playing the game. I don't like what I'm hearing about FFXIII.

Silent Hill - Worse - Didn't like Origins. Homecoming was alright, but it wasn't as great as the first three games. Haven't played Shattered Memories yet.

Mario - Better - Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games I've played this gen. Can't wait for the sequel.

Shin Megami Tensei - can't really say - I enjoyed Devil Survivor a lot, whole lot more than Persona 4. I didn't like what they did with the Persona remake - new artsyle, music. Really excited for Strange Journey though. Finally, the spiritual successor to Nocturne is coming.

Did you understand the story in MGS4 at all?
