Number of things the PS3 has going for it, and could have going for it -

  • New, affordable pricepoint that wasn't present in previous years.
  • High number of big exclusive and multiplat games releasing should keep momentum in Q1/Q2.
  • Now seen as a more suitable choice for Japanese gamers.
  • Gran Turismo 5 / God of War 3 Releasing (big spikes/boosts/bumps etc.)
  • Yet to drop below 240k worldwide since the pricecut and "slim".
  • PlayStation Wand takes off really well?
  • PlayStation Wand is bundled, adding value?
  • Possibility of colours?

What im waiting for is for you to set up the National Association of Dog Man Love or NADML and/or declare that the female dog is superior to male dogs and feminists. not many people believed a price drop would come due to the losses they were making

Well people believed their early comments on profitability more than they thought they would be willing to take further losses to cut the price. People could reconcile a $50 price cut with profitability goals they made but not $100. Since the $100 cut was the only way to reach 13M sales they sided with the earlier promise of profitability.
