Yes, it was a contendor for goty overall, atleast it was for us.  But it was not for GT, and his argument is that the Wii "kicked ass" the first 2 years with GotY awards and then suddenly the media got biased.  Y'know PS3 didn't win any GotY's for a while, that's because it didn't have great years in games for a while.  Couldn't this just be an off year for the Wii as far as software goes?

The idea that the media is biased against the Wii is not a new one, though, certainly not born this year, and I don't think that dialogue has much directly to do with actual software

(2009 was a better year than 2008 for me)

That's all false. The average review is WAY better than the review of the game

On Metacritic, Modern Warfare 2 review is 94 and player review is 5.4!

New Super Mario Bros Wii = 87

Player = 90

 

So?

First of all I said the "average reviewer" and not random fanboy person who rate certain games down, so the player score means nothing.

How many threads is this today alone with a topic along the lines of "everyone hates Wii and ignores", hence why it's selling so much.

I don't think that Wii had anything to offer up for overall GOTY, but they could have at least thrown in NSMBWii just for the heck of it... but still, it was worth it just to watch the PS3 fanboys' heads explode when MW2 got the nod over Uncharted 2 haha!

4 this week (I think) since these typesof threads have the chance to reach over 100+ posts...

type in (ignore) in the search forum and about 1/3 of the searches are the wii being ignored... this topic has been milked to death! if anything the xbox360 is being ignored in this website! :-l

Again wth the bias? If anything. I think Game Trailers is the least bias against the wii site I ever saw. They gave the conduit a high 7. While everyone else was giving it low scores like 6 and 5's. Though I agree that they should atleast nominate it. So they won't look bias

Waaaaaaaaa? MW2 srsly won pc game of the year off them? Ok, that alone proves they are clueless.

You may think 2009 was better than 2008 regarding the wii's line-up but don't forget that GOTY is relative to the competition. All the consoles had a better 2009 than 2008 IMO. For the record, I dont agree with GT's winner. However, I don't think NSMBW deserves the victory either

lol, I doubt you'll easily find someone who has spent 39 days on a single Mario game or heck even all the mario's the said person has played. The TC's replayability argument is completely ridiculous IMO.
