Yes, it was a contendor for goty overall, atleast it was for us.  But it was not for GT, and his argument is that the Wii "kicked ass" the first 2 years with GotY awards and then suddenly the media got biased.  Y'know PS3 didn't win any GotY's for a while, that's because it didn't have great years in games for a while.  Couldn't this just be an off year for the Wii as far as software goes?

The idea that the media is biased against the Wii is not a new one, though, certainly not born this year, and I don't think that dialogue has much directly to do with actual software

You may think 2009 was better than 2008 regarding the wii's line-up but don't forget that GOTY is relative to the competition. All the consoles had a better 2009 than 2008 IMO. For the record, I dont agree with GT's winner. However, I don't think NSMBW deserves the victory either
