So there were shortages... Wow. Wasn't expecting that, i thought the thread talking about them was bull

I've seen it sold out on website's several times but, It may be because I live in Kansas but the only system I have ever had trouble finding was the Wii. When I was at wal-mart yesterday they this gigantic stack of all three of the system's. Same over at Best Buy. But there probably are shortages due to the fact that my friend who moved to California recently (about 2 months ago) still hasn't been able to get one.

Sony must have deliberately caused a shortage to create a demand, I'm sure of it!

No shortages here in Minneapolis, as far as I know.

But I'm sure PS3 lost around 20k sales because of shortages.

I really don't understand this line of thinking...how is NA Xbox's home turf?  Because 360 is a M$ product and NA are more likely to Buy American?  If this is the case, why did PS2 totally outsell Xbox...also, why is Wii totally outselling the 360?  It seems mroe likely that M$ has done a better job at marketing and innovating their product in NA than Sony, rather than some intrinsic home field advantage. 

BTW, great job to the PS3 for the numbers over the last 2 weeks, even if it didn't crack a million.

And Sony has better Marketed and innovated their products in Others and Japan.
