DId PS3 Shortages Prevent 1 Million WW?

I really don't understand this line of thinking...how is NA Xbox's home turf?  Because 360 is a M$ product and NA are more likely to Buy American?  If this is the case, why did PS2 totally outsell Xbox...also, why is Wii totally outselling the 360?  It seems mroe likely that M$ has done a better job at marketing and innovating their product in NA than Sony, rather than some intrinsic home field advantage. 

BTW, great job to the PS3 for the numbers over the last 2 weeks, even if it didn't crack a million.

And Sony has better Marketed and innovated their products in Others and Japan.
