next week, NSMB overtakes MWF2 360, just amazing.

funny thing :

in 7 weeks, 2 games have sold over 8 million copies, one doing so in 3 areas largely, the other in just 2.

And the ps3 has already used its get out of jail for free card far earlier than they had hoped this gen (PS3 slim) due to the 360's great numbers last year.

Despite the fact that it can be seen as a "get out of jail card", it doesn't eliminate the fact that the 360 has had multiple temporary price cuts and two huge walmart deals to keep it in competition this holiday. Point to the PS3 all you want, but don't ignore that as if the 360 is riding a high without actually doing something.

Okay I just checked

Wii's second largest week ended on December 20, 2008. This week topped it by nearly a hundred thousand.

Wii set a new personal best! .....This may be a best for any console that connects to the TV

oh, my point is you don't have a point. The 360 is cheaper than the Wii in many places, so enough with the no price cut excuse, people just want the PS3  more,alright.

Fantastic Numbers for Wii and DS. Wii sold more in NA alone than PS3 sold WW. that's not a slight at PS3 just more of a context for how crazy these Wii numbers are. Wii broke another record it seems. Also Mario numbers are unreal.



Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:


If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

It is yet to hit $199, or even $250... And it's touching 1 Million sales in a week.

True, in a nutshell, both companies are doing whatever it takes to get their console off shelves.

360 with bundles, walmart deals ect, PS3 with its price cut and earlier than anticipated slim.
