It's better than Error 75. E75 is just ass.
That's about as likely as me playing by somebody elses rules, which I would never do. I only play by my own rules, nobody elses...not even my own.

wait.. so instead of the RROD being gone, it just turned into a E74 code? O.o

One of the firmware upgrades meant that the error could show up as E74. I think as for gone, it has no more gone than it is with the PS3. What has gone are the scary failure rates.
I put most of the blame on the introduction of lead free solder (Look up tin whiskers and reflow) as the problems are mostly solder related. Fortunately for Microsoft time has soldiered on and they have fixed mos of the problems or at least reduced them. The fact remains that modern products are more susceptable to these solder related issues than they once were. Microsoft must shoulder a lot of blame as Sony certainly showed it had better manufacture experience and an extra year with which to tackle manufacture problems, a year Microsoft could of done well to spend ironing out the kinks.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.That's the undercover RoD...
Call Microsoft, and every little thing, is gonna be alright!!!! Yaeh!
Its the same thing as RROD, just a different term, so they don't have to give the 3 year warrenty

What complete and utter rubbish
1. Its not the same thing although it is associated with RROD E74 is a failure of the scaler/video chip.
2. They do give the 3 year warranty, just call up or go to microsoft.com log it and send it in.
Congratulations dirkd2323 for a totally inaccurate post. Quite a feat really.
Why are people telling him to do the towel trick and that E74 isn't covered?
E74 is covered under the three year warranty every Xbox has and doing the towel trick will do nothing but waste your time since, again, the E74 error is covered.
