Well the online doesnt matter to me..... so forget that aspect.

Stealth? I suppose, not a big deal really though. Storywise, I liked Sully in 1 and that helped to make the story better for me. The rather cliched english semi-villain in UC2 was a bit pathetic to be honest. I jsut had a smile on my face much more in UC1. It all about personal opinions.

Does that have anything to do with you being British ?

Anywayz... FAIL.

He was Australian, like Chloe was.

Helicopter attack + The train sequence + Tank fight = Better than most action movies

No sir.. you FAIL

Chloe? Australian?  really?  Played by an english actress in a polished english accent?

I meant australian actress with a polished english accent.

"Nathan Drake is back, and an Australian woman has her legs wrapped around him."

"She’s an Australian woman named Chloe Frazer, who seems to be one wicked chick, saving Nathan with a rocket launcher."

Thats just 2 examples.

I'd have to disagree. MGS4 (once you cut out the cutscenes, as I did on my second play though) is actually a rather rushed narrative that I felt was disjointed from a character point of view, and one where the best sequences take place in the cutscenes. Clearly your Avatar would disagree! But that's how I felt about it personally.

Uncharted 2 I really felt I'd gone through this whole, epic adventure just to get to the point where Drake is metaphorically 'reborn' in the village, to emerge wiser, reflect on what had gone before, then set out on the rest of the adventure.

Out of every game I've played this gen, Uncharted 2 had by far and away the best SP experience to offer, both in terms of character and narrative structure.

God of War games are definitely epic, but ultimately I feel Nathan Drake makes for (obviously) a much more relate-able and real character than Kratos.

So no, a rare game that delivered on the hype for me and my favourite SP experience on a console right now.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

yeah an australian actress playing an english woman....

anyway we were talking about the english villain... you know... the one played by the english actor with a soft london mockney accent.

uh.... Chloe is Australian

Forum posts vs news articles/previews = I win

absolutley not i havent seen a game this gen where developers put more work into a game then in uncharted 2 (maybe mgs4)...but seriously till now this gen isnt as good as the one before with RE4, FFX, GoW 1,2, Halo 1-2 (which were better then 3 anyway) and GTA:sa...so IMO its an easy win for Uncharted2 this time

A lot of people like to talk about UC2 singleplayer without giving one nod to the multiplayer. IMO, the MP is better than 99% of anything on the market.

Everyone always forgets about that.

This.

If anything, the multiplayer is very underhyped and it has to be one of the best multiplayer experiences out there. No online game this gen has ever had me as immersed as Uncharted 2 has.

People need to start playing teh multiplayer.

playing uc2 single player only is like...

playing nsmbwii only single-player

playing COD only single player

never going online in LBP

1 disc of a FF game

GT5 Prologue vs GT5

One screen of a DS game

....combined

I have to say, although I am a huge fan of the game and it is the only other online MP I've liked since Halo 3, it was indeed "Overhyped". Please let me explain, teh interwebz (particularly this forum) made this game out to be a transcendent experience, like the first time I booted up Zelda or Super Mario Bros on the NES or experienced 3D graphics with Mario 64, it was not that. I expected flawless graphics, with individual hairs on their heads and individual eyelashes as well, not the case. There were jaggies ,granted not many and not bad at all, but I expected none. The story was very good, but again, I expected it to rock my world along the lines of a Bioshock, instead it was more of the same. Which is great, because the same as Uncharted is very very good, but not world shattering. In the end I was slightly (ever so slightly, mind you) dissappointed in the game, due entirely to the amount of hype it got on these here forums. I'm kinda pissed that I spoiled it by reading all of the threads about it. Without the hype, I would have enjoyed it more, and that to me makes it "overhyped".

no. it isnt.  it actually isnt like any single one of them... except perhaps the COD one.

Are you 100% on that?

Same here, Demon's Souls is my GOTY
i'd like Uncharted to be more Tomb Raider and less Shooter.

Thats gotta do more with you're preference in genres, imo Uncharted is far better than Tomb Raider....

But the fact is, U2 feels way too scripted...

SPOILERS

My favourite parts were the train section and the tank section...after the tank section it was a bit disappointing...

Uncharted IS better than Tomb Raider,

i don't mean its Over Hyped, but it overshadowed everything else. the most over hyped game is GTA IV its sucked so much.

what i mean't i want uncharted to be less of a shooter, and more a platformer, plus the whole game was amazing from start to finish not just that part

That's interesting, because I want Tomb Raider to be more of a shooter, and less of a platformer. Mostly because the platforming sucks. But then, the shooting also sucks. Ah well.

Uncharted 2 wasn't perfect, or anything, but there were no significant changes I would have made, except perhaps making the scenery a little more interactive (not less shooting, the shooting was fine. Just more opportunities to climb and shoot from different positions, and no ledges which turned out to be scenery, or worse, scenery which turned out to be ledges).

It was AMAZING

but Ia gree just not on MGS4 or FF13 levels (assuming FF13 is near MGS4 levels)
