I Hope it FAILS in everyway possible, it took WAY to long to be made, regardless how it plays, they NEED to shorten the time it takes to make Main FF franchise games now, XIII took far to long.

My guess would be an average score of 70% for PS3 with 360 at 62%.

Yes... However Versus XIII is not a Main FF title and chances are which im sure you'll agree with me atleast Versus XIII will be much more fun gameplay wise most likely, Kingdom Hearts-like Battle system for a FF game that has an art-style that looks like VII? oh yeah...

It will most definitely get over 90%, no doubt about that. I hope it bombs though so they can NOT TAKE 5 YEARS TO DEVELOP A GAME THAT REALLY DOESN'T SEEM LIKE MUCH OF AN IMPROVEMENT OVER THE LAST ENTRIES. But other than that, Day one buy for sure!

Depends. Not every main FF game gets a 90+ rating.

hmm, interesting opinion. I would have said yes to it getting over 90. I like Seraphic_sixaxis opinion on this. I want to see this game fail.

It's taken to looooooooong and these gamers are getting well over budget. Some games are great to have high budgets, but it's training gamers to expect that kind of developement for all games. Having some great games of lower design, but still awesome in their own way. Being drowned out.

While I don't want it to fail. I think it would be best for SE that it did. If not it's just going to cause SE more problems when there 7 year FF15 and 2million game budget causes the company to go under.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

That proves my point. FF XIII is the more important title (Versus will be better though) but Versus seems like it's taking longer. I don't like SE taking forever to release these games but let's not be hypocritical now. :P

Anybody that plays or enjoys RPGs because of their battle system should end up liking this game - it's definitely the best part of XIII and I think they did a really good job with it.

Story wise, from what I could understand and from what I've read, it's average at best, but I highly don't the polished gameplay, great graphics and Final Fantasy name will get this game much lower than a 90. It may have a few years ago, but it just seems to me that reviewers tend to be much more favorable this generation than in the past.

I personally thought the game was really fun based on the battle system alone - some of your guys hating this game should probably give it a try before you start condemning Square-Enix. The game may be disappointing in certain aspects, but it isn't a bad game.
