Dead Space is by far the scariest game I have ever played and with EA working on DS2 they have promised more shit your pants moments, something that capcom has failed to deliver to me with their 12+ games. So is DS set to be a better survival horror franchise the RE? I find the necromorphs more frightening than "zombies".

Dead Space is awesome.Heck,even the on rails one was a really decent game.But Resident Evil won't lose the throne so easily.RE5 wasn't all that "horrorish" but we should keep in mind that capcom is doing a REboot to the series.I am very interesting to see Dead Space 2 vs. the new Resident evil.

If you mean DS being better than RE 1, 2, 3, & 4 then no. But will DS2 be a better survival horror game than RE6? Probably. 5 was shit and this reboot you speak of if it even comes to consoles will just be (I believe) their way of saying they get to start over with a new series/story/world/whatever and just pimp out the Resident Evil brand name and most likely make it even more like a shooter than a survival horror type game.

Nope... thats an entirely different game, and I highly doubt it that Capcom will give the crown over that easily. Never thge less, it will be one great battle, that we gamers will enjoy

Dead Space is good...very good in fact imo but its far from being one of the best horror games or the most scary
I wouldn't even include Dead Space as survival horror rather "action horror" like RE4 & RE5 they both have similar mechanics

Yes, Dead Space definitely has a chance at beating Resident Evil. Dead Space scared the shit outta me, I never even beat it. Resident Evil 4/5 on the other hand.... piece of cake, although 4 was kinda scary though.

No Dead Space is just a good Third Person Shooter, not a Survival Horror per se.

This is like asking which is the best platformer between Halo and Duke Nukem.
