David Faustino, the worlds single greatest actor. He has played a wide variety of roles from Bud Bundy to extra#3, truly one of the greatest actors ever.
I kid, I kid. Put me down for Michael Palin, the world's greatest comedian.

(though that's probably because no one except the two of us has ever heard of him)BTW: AoiRayn made a good point with the choice of a fictional character. From now on Hobbes, the wise tiger, will be known as my one and only idol. Best character ever created. |
lol i TRIED to not do it , but couldn't help myself.
normally Buffy gets compared to Twilight, you know, some popular fad for teenage kids
as far as fictional characters go, i don't know lots of characters are very well made, i think Death of the endless by Neil Gaiman (Sandman books) is an interesting character, even though she is "Death", she is very light hearted and cheerful, and likes to spawn every 100 years to know about living and how people live (lol)

Apparently he's very rude and snobby. |
He's quiet and shy. More importantly, he is a musical genius.

@Severance
I agree, I love art especially through music, the definition of an artist is that of someone who devotes there life to art and the art of music in my opinion.
Its just so beutiful

I don't have an idol but I do have alota people/sources that I get inspiration from.
I have alota respect for musicians that go beyond the typical things we hear on TV/radio/etc. I'm talking about the people that create genres of music that you barely knew existed. The people that refuse to go with the current trends.
Two bands that've inspired to me make the music I do are Funker Vogt/Front 242.

O_o; seriously? i thought Buffy is the cheesiest thing i ever saw.... |
Hmm... well, Buffy's a mass of some 140+ episodes, and not every one has the same tone. Some are certainly cheesy. But not all of them.
It's possible that you haven't seen a whole lot of the show. At any rate, I'm convinced through my viewings that "cheesiness" is just one strand in BtVS's incredibly rich tapestry. (It is nothing like, for instance, Twilight. :)
Apart from that, I'm not sure how I could prove anything to you. But yeah, I stand by what I said.
If you can narrow it down to just one then you must have a very dull live. Their are hundreds of artist I like/idolizes I couldn't even narrow it down to a top ten, unless you narrow it down to a specific genre.
yeah its hard , and @ Severance
1. Cobain
2. DMX (hate how he acts and his media image but as a lyricist(lyrics) the person behind the media image is a jaw dropping genius)
3. Morrison
