Forums - Sales Discussion - What will sales level out to after the holidays?

Once the holidays is over and sales start to slow down and level out what do you think it'll be at for each console?

Wii: 300K

PS3: 240K

X360: 150K

pretty much what you just put, unless it's just before a major game release for each conso0le

Wii - 250k

PS3 - 175k

360 - 115k

Note: Im on the low end for them here...

Gilgamesh - that would be the worst the Wii has ever done (in terms of market share) on a consistent basis, ignoring times when it was supply constrained. You can't make that prediction without some pretty good justification

@ kowen: what about 2009?

ps3 will average 200-250k it will dip every now and then

360 will aveage 125-175k dips and spikes of course

wii 225 - 275k

Gearbox, you also are predicting an unprecedented drop in the sales of the market leader (as a fraction of total sales). Justify yourself

Come March I think the PS3 could see a good permanent boost where it is then considered the home console to get, kinda like what happened to the DS before it took off like a rabbit.

Wii - 190k
360 - 120k
PS3 - 175K

Wii: 270-280k

360: 135-140k

PS3: 180-190k

scottie: what is there to justify? The Wii has taken a huge plunge yoy all through fall and winter and is on its way down despite the massive NSMBWii, Sports Resort, Wii Motion + and a price cut (pluss Black Wii in Europe). Seriously, its on its way down, clear as day.
