Probably never. Sales are going to decline year over year next year most likely and I don't really forsee another $100 drop in two years will be enough and I doubt it will happen. Sony want some profit eventually...

The ones highlighted in red are definately possible depending on when $199 comes, which is likely late 2011. The rest, i admit are more like wishful thinking.

Heck, a simple $50 cut next Christmas could possibly give it a shot at 1m again.

I would probably have to say GT5 NA/EU release date. I think that the PS3 has a good change of selling over 1 million consoles at least 4 times next year. With another minor price cut before the Holidays it could do it even more times. I didn't think it could do it last week.

GT5 release won't see 1 million PS3s sold as GT5 will be launching in Japan before EU/NA. It would have needed GT5 to release in all terrorteries at the same time to see 1 million PS3s sold.

Black Friday next year most likely not.

It has a shot next year at Christmas if decent hitters release at the same time period but unlikely.

A $250 PS3 could see 1 million units sold multiple times during the holidays + Black Friday.

At $199 1 million units sold is expected during Holidays + Black Friday.

I think it is unlikely to get any million weeks outside of December in any given year. It could do it 2010. With another $100 price cut in 2011 it should do it in december that year, especially if they drop the price just before Black Friday 2011.

Impossible to do it next week; bundles of FFXIII are pretty much sold.

And, in fact, impossible for the PS3 to ever do it again. Would require a simultaneous WW launch of GT5 (plenty of bundles) combined with a pricecut. And neither factor is going to happen.

it will do it every time 1 million people bought it in the same week...LOL ... lots of people say that it wouldnt be in this past week and now say that wont happen again so if they were wrong one time i dont trust them any more... the odds say it would be a little difficult in 2010 but no one could say nothing for sure in term of beyond 2010
