Picketing soldier's funerals? I THINK I KNOW WHO IS REALLY GOING TO HELL. FUCK HIM.

Well he claims that American soldiers dying in war is God's way of punishing America for tolerating gay people. I think that is the definition of a tenuous argument, there is nothing to back up that claim. Yet he continues to assert this tenuous argument in such a disgusting manner (because he can't back it up with logic) that he loses all respect from people, people he claims he wants to show they way. He shoots himself in the foot...

In other words, the guy is a fucking moron who clearly only has the brain capacity of an Echinoderm. He shows no logic in his actions whatsoever.

If he wanted to win people over the last thing he should do is picket a soldiers funeral. Common sense.

But here's the ultimate irony, more Iraqi people have died in the war than Americans. In Iraq being homosexual used to be a crime and even now if you are gay you are likely to be lynched. If somehow God was responsible for all deaths in the war based on gay tolerance like Phelp's suggests, then surely that means God is punishing those who are intolerent of gay people.

I've heard many things about this church and that guy and I'm not suprised.
You know, some people deserve to die... He's probably on top of the list.

What gets me about this church is that they focus on one area of the Bible so intensely that they have forgotten about the rest of it. Fair enough the Bible says "thou shalt not lie with man as one lies with a woman", but it also says "love thy neighbour". So even if a Christian thinks homosexuality is wrong, they should at least accept a homosexual person compassionately.

In fact I would be willing to wager that for every Bible passage that condemns homosexuality, I could find 10 that says they should be treated as equals, supports their rights, instructs people to act compassionately, etc...

Meh, to be honest if you're following 2000 year old morals without questioning or updating some of them, then you're bound to have an outdated view on many things like homosexuality anyway. The world's changed in 2000 years, it's time people like Phelps should realise this.

The fact of the matter is that you don't disrespect the dead, especially fallen soldiers. Whther it be radical anti war hippies, or poser christians. Nobody should have a funeral crashed especially soldiers. So again: the guy can go fuck his self.

IMO, the best way to fight demented sociopaths like Phelps is to just ignore them until they self-destruct. Hate groups live on attention, and publishing crap like this is just going to feed their fires.

First time Ive ever heard of this guy and his church and I can tell that he is a complete idiot that just wants to seek attention.
