What gets me about this church is that they focus on one area of the Bible so intensely that they have forgotten about the rest of it. Fair enough the Bible says "thou shalt not lie with man as one lies with a woman", but it also says "love thy neighbour". So even if a Christian thinks homosexuality is wrong, they should at least accept a homosexual person compassionately.
In fact I would be willing to wager that for every Bible passage that condemns homosexuality, I could find 10 that says they should be treated as equals, supports their rights, instructs people to act compassionately, etc...
Meh, to be honest if you're following 2000 year old morals without questioning or updating some of them, then you're bound to have an outdated view on many things like homosexuality anyway. The world's changed in 2000 years, it's time people like Phelps should realise this.
