I also lost faith in Nintendo as a developer of top notch first party software after the disapointments their combo of big games (Zelda, Metroid, Mario) has been. Zelda had tacked on controls, Metroid was a streamlined 5 hour game (if you want to see a picture for proof, let's exchange Wii numbers) and not the deep experience I was used to from the Gamecube games, Mario seems to be a totally easy game now (thanks to the casual gamers who can't handle hard games) which can be finished in about 7 hours. |
Zelda: Yes, i agree, it did have tacked on controls, but it wasnt actually made for the Wii, we all know that. Despite the tacked on controls, which i didnt really have a problem with, i really really enjoyed the game, as did most other people.
Metroid: Most games can be completed in that time period when you know where everything is, especially the metroid games! I know of someone who completed Metroid Prime the original in 1h 28min, but it didnt make it a bad game and first time through most people clocked up over 20 hours on it. You said urself that u had played through it a couple of times beforehand already, so im pretty sure that had something to do with the speedy finish :P
Mario: I dont know about this one, as i havent played through it. Ive just heard and read that it is pretty difficult towards the end, but i cant back this up as it isnt out in the UK yet.
