Well, true that it would have sacrificed on the graphics department on the Wii but it would have reached a wider casual audience.

I rate a game as AAA based on the sales it gives, the quality of the game and the lasting appeal. Since the game will have poor sales, that's one less A. This game will do about 600k-1mil on the PS3 while it would probably have done 5-9mil on the Wii(even with poorer graphics and less functions).

I'm a huge fan of Mario Kart... and this game kind'a makes Mario Kart look like a sad piece of crap in comparison... :(

I'm just comparing quality. Some people will say 3rd party games don't do well on the Wii but the truth is, most 3rd party games that don't do well weren't that great anyway compared to 1st party games. Nor did they hit the wii on its actually target market.

This game is like perfect for wii owners. I can picture playing this with my friends, girlfriends, parents and family... I can think of playing this to relax and just have fun... this game is in truth, at least in spirit, meant for the wii.

It would have been rewarded with massive sales...

That being said... The New Super Mario Bros Wii borrows heavily from LBP... Both have features I like... But LBP is still a bit more innovative on the PCS. Maybe the New Mario Kart Wii will borrow from ModNation Racers. Just as I expect NSMBW to hit about 10mil+ in sales, the new mario kart will do same ;)

Man, as much as I'd like to agree with you, because I want huge sales for this game...I'd rather it be on Ps3 and not be "Compromised" to be able to run on the Wii just because it looks more feature packed than mario-kart....

I don't understand the point of this post, but one thing I do know is that Mario Kart Wii is the WORST Mario Kart game ever! They put so little thought into that game and only added lame bikes, a useless steering wheel, Mii support (omglol) and online... this game looks like current gen Mario Kart should've looked like, a good, well thought out game.

modnation racers looks epic, and I can't wait to make crazy tracks and test them out with my buddies! i hope this game kills off the Mario Kart series, or at least make Nintendo do some effort next time they develop some of their games. that's just wishful thinking though
