i would stop supporting nintendo completely. i have always been 100% nintendo, but due to their choices this gen, I have left their camp. if they would make a technically inferior console yet again, I would never look in nintendo's direction again (or at least until next gen).

Well I'll see ya when I see ya, but seriously I feel the last thing nintendo needs is HD, it's they're creativity that has gotten them in first place and it will take them to a whole new level:)
Gaming make me feel GOOD!
Netyaroze said: HD id a consequence of higher CPU/GPU Power. Its not a special functionality. Pcs were HD 10 years ago. |
From now on I'll give a link to this when this topic comes up.

In 2005, he predicted Revolution would have 22% market share in 2007 after it's release.
When 2007 actually arrived, Wii had 45% market share. Epic fail pachter.

No because that's what people said about Revolution and DS.

I agree.
Even though Nintendo is #1 for me, I think they could've at least tried to put a powerful processor in there. The gap, as you say, is too large. Next gen I want to see some quality 3rd party games and not just shovelware.
I hate to say it, but graphics matter. It's not everything, but it does matter.

But why should we assume that more power would equal higher-quality third party games? That wasn't really the case for GameCube which didn't get MGS or GTA. It got better multi-platform releases than Wii, but that's not saying much.
One of the reasons Wii HD (it won't be called that) won't happen for a while is that the techonology to produce a console with similar power to say a PS3 but with the Wii's footprint and power consumption doesn't exist yet. I can't see Nintendo going for a large power hungry console.
My cousin who works at Nintendo said that the next console won't be in HD. It'll display in black and white, too.
