Forums - Sales - Capcom IR report (sales downgrades and key title delays)

Also, from this we can also deduct that Capcom originally expected 1.5m for MH3 in Japan (it only managed 1.1m by last September btw). Weird then that they've said it met expectations and even exceeded subscription expectations? :/

They make Pachinko machines??

I still don't know why there is no demo for "Dark Void"?

It probably mean that while the game didn't sell as well as they hoped the number of people ready to pay to play online were higher than they were expecting.

It's hasn't been a good years for Capcom what with the massive flop of Bionic Commando and to a lesser extent Spyborg, lower than expected sale for Resident Evil 5 and MH3.

Yeah, and after it seemed like they could do no wrong before (Dead Rising, Lost Planet, DMC4, RE4 Wii, REUC, etc)... I also suspect DarkSide Chronicles won't be hitting the 800k they expected originally.  Lightgun shooters are like poison in today's Wii market.

The Dark Void slash was needed. Game isn't going to do very well.

This whole list is crap. Where is Dead rising 2...only capcom game that matters at this point.

Where does it say Resident Evil 5 had lower than anticipated sales numbers? It was the best selling game in the series.

DR2 is highlighted for fiscal 2011 in the report, but that isn't a delay as it was always planned for after March.

Capcom's lineup for 2011 is looking really stellar imo...

  • Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (DS)
  • Dark Void (360/PS3)
  • Dark Void Zero (DSiWare)
  • Dead Rising 2 (360/PS3)
  • Final Fight: Double Impact (XBLA/PSN)
  • Ghost Trick (DS)
  • Lost Planet 2 (360/PS3)
  • MegaMan 10 (WiiWare/XBLA/PSN)
  • Monster Hunter Felyne Villiage (PSP)
  • Monster Hunter TRI (Wii)
  • Okamiden (DS)
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy (WiiWare)
  • Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition (360/PS3)
  • Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes (Wii/PS3)
  • Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3)
  • Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (Wii)
  • The Last Ranker (PSP)

...good stuff for everybody really.  More publishers should be doing it like this.
