Everyone can tell this DL whatever they want, but the fact will not change: the final game will not be this.

so if Halo: ODST uses the same physics engine as Halo: reach then Halo ODST is basically a demo for reach? |
No because Halo ODST dosen't say "This is a DEMO version of the upcoming Halo Reach, due for release in 2010". This demo of GT5 does.

Sony said its not demo of Gran Turismo 5, and is only being released for GT Academy. Polyphony Digital has also posted a new press release, clearly stating the demo was “specifically designed for this competition to showcase the realism of the brand-new physics engine” and nothing more

@Darklich13 - Sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with everyone else, its not a demo.
Guys, not again. Stop debating the demo/not demo thing, it's annoying and doesn't lead anywhere
it is a sort of limited demo .... whatever, it doesn't matter
it is a demo about the in game physic : how do the cars behave ?
And, according to Neogaff/Gtplanet, it is already superior to any simulation released (PC/console)
Time to Work !
It's not a demo after all.
The new handling physics is fantastics and exciting... so real.
It obviously doesn't reflect the full game, but hell of course it's a demo.
It says DEMO in the start screen.
Don't forget that the first Motorstorm PR demo had worse graphics than the full game, but it was still a demo.

From your link.
The Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Challenge, first announced December 3, will start this Thursday on December 17, 2009 and run through January 25, 2010. Players will be able to download the demo directly to their PlayStation 3 consoles via the PlayStation Network starting this Thursday.
The demo was specifically designed for this competition to showcase the realism of the brand-new physics engine and to challenge players’ driving skills using professional driving physics and many of the driving assists disabled. The full Gran Turismo 5 will feature multiple driving assists and various settings that can be changed to make the game easier or more challenging and realistic.
I don't see anywhere it says that Sony not calling it a demo. Is this a bad thing? NO!! I was quite impressed with how the cars handeled and this DEMO give a great indication of what we can expect next year.
Jeez.
I said no more discussing demo/not demo. Talk about how it plays, talk about what you like/what not, but please stop debating over what freaking name you give it
