Of course it is "news" but even if there 200,000 bundles not included in Square-Enix's figures it is still well off the pace of Final Fantasy XII day one.

I'm pretty sure the famitsu first day preview was normally leaked onto NEOGAF. They seem to think the leak has dried up, as of this week. Frustrating timing for those of us waiting on FFXIII numbers...

from what I saw, PS3 counterparts sell the same, if not more. Look no further than DMC4 vs DMC3, GTAIV vs GTAIII, MGS4 vs MGS3, RE5 vs RE4

not to mention some of those dispite being multiplatform

 

really no idea where you get the "25%-35%" data there. especially the "most PS3 games" part

I don't understand jarrod's data, or what he's trying to show.  ^^

Devil May Cry increased 10% between the 3rd and 4th game, Metal Gear decreased 15%, Biohazard had nothing but a series of late ports released during the entire PS2 generation, and Grand Theft Auto decreased 50%. What kind of a pattern is that?

No pattern, just that a general franchise decrease is happening.  I expect FF to hold up better than most though (like MGS did).
