Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo patents "WiiRelax"

http://www.siliconera.com/2009/12/18/will-wiirelax-be-nintendos-first-vitality-sensor-game/

Nintendo is keeping quiet about their Vitality Sensor games, but they have something called WiiRelax in development.

While searching the European trademark database, we discovered Nintendo registered the rights to WiiRelax in PAL territories. Since the Vitality Sensor is a pulse detecting accessory, it sounds like WiiRelax would work with the upcoming device.

Prior to this trademark, Pub Company, an video developer in Italy, also mentioned a game called Wii Relax (note the space). The title was officially announced on April 1 and hasn’t been mentioned since. Their website for Wii Relax is gone too so Pub Company’s “zen experience” project may have been canceled, blocked, or perhaps purchased by Nintendo.

Probably the most absurd name for a Wii ___ game ever. Future 10 million seller imminent.

Pixel Art can be fun.

you mean Wii leave-the-wii-mote-and-go-sleep?

^^ nice

what a weird piece of software... way weirder than WiiFit. i can't imagine what use this might have to someone.

then again, that's what everyone's been saying about the Vitality Sensor itself... a demonstration of V sensor apps can't come soon enough >_>

You'd be surprised. Forcing myself to relax was one of the only ways I could deal with my anxiety issues a couple of years back. SOmething that could help me monitor myself and adjusted the sitmulus accordingly could have been very good.

Really? Because I see a successful stress-reducing game to be an even bigger hit than a fitness game. I feel comfortable saying that the majority of adults in the Western world (at least) come home desperately needing to unwind. Whoever can help them do that is going to make mad bank.

weird...

Fixed that for you

Speaking seriously, more seriously

When I was young, I thought most adults were kind of like this:

When in truth, they are more like this:

So yes, I agree, Nintendo is probably on to somehting and other companies are probably even now rushing to somehow do this before they do

They need to call it Wii Chill.

That's a much better name.
