No, I think he is on to something here. Just need to androgenous love story and a weird evil corporation to tie it all together. The series is pretty formulaic, for better and for worse.

Chess is an RPG!

Chess is not a RPG there are no items only units. It is a turn based strategy game possibly the first strategy game. Although its current popular version is not the original version I believe. This thread shows why vgchartz is fun because of people who try to deny reality. Come on asking if FF XIII is an rpg is like asking if mario is a platformer. Befor FF VII I had never even seen an RPG. I believe I can say that Final Fatasy made RPGs main stream no longer just for hardcore gaming nerds.
