Forums - Sony - New release Blu Ray movies now less than 2-Disk DVD?

I think the studios have finally gotten to the right price point. I never get the bare bones DVD, and the difference in price between that and the special edition is ridiculous. I may as well get the Blu Ray while it is $2.00 less than the special edition DVD. I'm finally jumping onboard.

That's definitely a good price. Hopefully Blu-Ray movies will be same price or cheaper than DVD's soon!

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

I am starting to see movies go BD exclusive because they bring a DVD along with the BD.

To really make people switch they need to only put movies on blu-ray.

I just got The Hangover on Blu Ray through Amazon, and it comes with a digital copy. It was $15.99, while the 2-Disk special edition was $19.99.

Just got Afro Samurai today for ~£6.
The series, not the movie btw.

I'm not the guy who buys many movies (I only own 4 DVDs, 3 of them were a gift), but I'm a huge fan of TV series. However they need to be much cheaper than at the moment until I may get them.
And if I do, only on Blu-Ray.

i recently bought some titles on bluray, eg fantastic 4 silver surfer, now the dvd version was £4.99 but them releases really are budgetised releases they are literraly bare bones movies with mabey a trailer or two on it. and if you get the special version its like £9.99 on dvd, well i got the bluray for £11.49 so its worth it imo getting the BR versions.

you also see triple pack BR movies, like bolt on bluray it has the dvd in it aswell as a digital copy aswell as the bluray.

although BR is still a little pricy it will come down. i can recall my first batch of dvd back in the day, matrix was £19.99 and exorcist was £21 and lol when titanic came out in the uk it was £29.99 with no extras. so they will come down eventually.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

That would be a terrible move since DVD still have a sizeable marketshare.

Yeah, all that would do is piss many people off.

I've made the complete switch to Blu-Ray in the last month

Last month i saw the BD version of star trek for the exact same price as the dvd. No difference between the content
