2010 Hardware Sales Predictions
Wii: 20m- Sales will drop, but not by much.
PS3: 13.5m- It sold 12m in 2009, its only common sense it will sell more this year.
Xbox 360: 11m- It sold 11m in 2008 and 2009, I think it will sell the same.

Why do you have to make excuses to defend a product that you purchased, but that's the only connection you have to it, you don't make it, you don't lose or gain money on it. I don't see where all of the defensiveness comes in, there is no reason for you or anybody else to feel obligated to defend it. Now I would understand if one of you were a developer for the product and you slaved over said product only to hear somebody call it stupid or a piece of junk. But none of you developed it, none of you are mature enough to realize that. Choosing a product all comes down to preference, you chose said product because it is best for you. Simple as that!
Sega and Atari have already tried, and eventually failed.
So I'll go with Apple. The iPhone and iPod Touch are becoming relatively viable gaming platforms already. Then there will be an iPlay, or iGame, or something, next gen, IMO.
apple made the pippin and it flopped i think the i ppod\phone was their break.

Sega & Atari = no
Apple = 50/50
I'd add in EA and maybe Activision as options. Could even be some random ass electronics company like toshiba, samsung, etc.
I want a new company to join the race, perhaps an independent one

Apple.
Both Sega and Atari left and pretty much went 3rd party full force. I doubt they'd ever build new hardware again, which only leaves Apple, who I also don't think will enter the gaming market, but I had to choose one.

Sega would never want to lose the kind of money MS/Sony have been losing.
Atari is long dead.
An Apple gaming platforms would be more like the iPod is to portable games, that a dedicated gaming system. An updated Apple TV with an App store for casual/small/cheap games.
I'd laugh if Ken Kutaragi (Father of Playstation, CEO during PS1 and PS2 eras) came out of retirement to make a new console that rivals the Playstation. Although I like Playstation, there is no doubt it was better when Ken was still around
