Persona 5 could lightnen up the perspectives for JRPG's once more, after FFXIII releases xD

Also, why do you think that it will go to the PSP Soriku?

Hummm, that's a fair accessment, but given that they have also published Demon's Souls on a HD console and it has shown that it can sell well, even for a new IP, I think that they could afford to do the jump to the HD consoles, especially given the brand power behind the Persona IP.

Edit - By them, I mean Atlus, not the producers of the Persona series xD

Why would the sales  of Demon's Souls in North America have any effect on the possible place of a game nearing completion? Even more so that the games are completely different.

I'm not talking about the games that they are completing right now, I'm talking about the possible future of Persona 5.

I just gave an input of what I think can happen, I also think that Soriku's accessment is the most probable one, given their current background working with the series on the PSP.

My point is driven that a new IP can possibly show Atlus that there's selling power on the HD consoles, so that's an open door to allow them some room to consider a HD persona.

Bah, I read the original article wrong. It seems the Persona team is almost done with an unannounced original title.

Yeah, development of Persona 5 can possibly begin next year when the two teams get together, but even that it's not confirmed. It would be nice though it that would be the case ;)

Make it on the PS3. Please!!!!!

Or the 360!! As long as it's not on a handheld.

I don't think the Wii would be a good decision in terms of $ though.

The RPG userbase is definitely not on the Wii (in Japan at least).

DQX might change everything though.

Yes, the overall panorama for JRPG's in the Wii hasn't been great so far, it's good, but not great.

DQX might change that as well, but hasn't Tales of Grace already given a slight nudge towards an improvement in the JRPG camp? Last I saw, people in here were happy with it's japan sales.
