ME2 and ME3 for the win...the trilogy must be concluded.

If the PC version of Mass Effect is better than the 360 version (I'm not saying it is, I haven't even see the 360 version) then I don't understand how it could get that many awards at all.
The whole game and concept shows that its mainly built around consoles and that lends me to believe that the 360 version might actually work better (and it should), especially since it was the lead platform for development.

Less bugs and graphical glitches (although still not perfect), better and faster aiming with the mouse. Also, the interface actually worked really well when you have access to a mouse. And of course, better graphics. Overall, the game worked really well on PC.

Remember, they released the PC version slightly after the 360 version, so they had time to iron out the bugs.

I did play through the PC version you know. The game plays like a console game to me and felt clunky and somehow slow most of the time. There were still a few bugs, one that was completely crippling to the gameplay (a weapons bug that froze up all your weapons when one overheated, only remedy was a load, very funny near the end of a boss fight or a long shootout). I do have high hopes for the sequel and I know for a fact that it'll be something right up my alley but I still find myself missing the Baldur's Gate days of Bioware, Dragon Age didn't seem to quench my thirst, it seems.

Guess I was lucky I never encountered that particular bug. Still had some annoying ones though that sent me "ctrl+alt+del"ing frantically in annoyance. Honestly, I actually quite liked the interface on PC and thought it worked quite nicely. I could see how it originated on the console but it still worked well enough for me to not care. Another thing I failed to mention was the free downloadable content, but you already know that as you've played it .

Baldurs Gate was quality, although I think nostalgia has a part to play in the lack of thirst quenching!

LOL I doubt theres a JRPG than can take out Mass Effect 2 next year. It's just a dominant RPG as is.

Final Fantasy XIII may have something to say about that young man!

Sorry to spoil it for you dude, but there are a million reasons why Mass Effect and FF are completely different games.

The fact that in FF you level up, doesn't make it an RPG at least the way ME is.

ME has to do with decisions, big diversity in gameplay according to which character you choose, evolution of the character him (or her) self,

and BIG replayability.

I don't see where all these fit in FF...

A. S.T.A.G.E. said there was no J-R-P-G that could take out Mass Effect. Final Fantasy IS a J-R-P-G after all.

B. My post was sprinkled with a shed of sarcasm. Clearly, you missed it.

C. You wasted your time quoting me, dude.

You know what's funny, don't you?

I left my PC 2 days ago, and 100 posts later YOU STILL debate on the basis of FF-Mass Effect comparison.

The damn Goddess Fate, is sooo sarcastic sometimes...

Have fun for the next 200 posts...

Can't we all just get along...lol

So were just going to ignore the fact that Final Fantasy's have not only been about Story and interesting combat but:

Leveling Up?
Customizing Abilities and Weapons?
Exploration?
Vasts amount of Sidequest and Missions
Monster Hunting?
Looting?

Come on now stop the fuckin bullshit already. Final Fantasy isnt an RPG! And I notice its only 360 fans bringing this argument up while PS3 fans defend it? Why is that?

Does the sidequest affect the main storyline in FF? does anything you just mentioned affect the storyline. Nope. Good list though. At its heart FFXIII is still at its core a story with a battle system.

Mass Effect 2 has my GF buying it day one for me... she's enthralled with the story

They have absolutely no reason to be worried about FF XII. These 2 games can't even compare.

Well of course not, Final Fantasy XII is a PS2 game.

Damn. Well you know I meant XIII. :P
